Rep. Meadows Hosts Veterans’ Solutions Seminar in Haywood County
Washington, D.C. - This week, Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) hosted three Veterans Solutions Seminars, including a seminar in Haywood County, to provide practical assistance to veterans on issues ranging from driver’s license renewal to assistance with Veterans Affairs (VA) claims.
The seminars were the fifth annual meetings held by Rep. Meadows’ office. Each year, Meadows’ office invites NC-11 veterans and their families to meet with members of Congressman Meadows’ staff, representatives from the VA hospital, the Winston-Salem Regional benefit office, and the NC division of Veterans Affairs to learn more about available assistance with issues surrounding VA benefits, healthcare, and disability.
This year’s seminar in Haywood County had a fantastic turnout, with each attendee getting a chance to ask questions, receive guidance, or get assistance with outstanding claims or issues.
“It’s always an honor to see so many of our district’s men and women who bravely answered the call to serve our nation,” Congressman Meadows said. “Fortunately, Western NC is blessed with tremendous resource offices for veterans, but anytime our office can jump in and provide a hand, it’s our privilege to do so. Ensuring that our veterans have access to the absolute highest quality service and proper assistance they need is a top priority of mine in Congress.
I want to thank the Charles George VA Medical Center staff, the NC Division of Veteran’s Affairs, and the Winston-Salem Regional Benefit Office staff for all of their work in helping us assist everyone who attended. Most importantly, thank you to NC-11’s incredible veterans for your faithful service. Serving you is our greatest responsibility, and at any time needed, please know we are here for you.”
