RELEASE:
Rep. Meadows’ Statement Following House Vote on H.R. 4760, the ‘Goodlatte Bill’

Washington, D.C. – Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) released the following statement on his vote in support of H.R. 4760, the Securing America's Future Act of 2018, which failed to pass the House by a vote of 193-231:

“I want to thank my friend, Chairman Goodlatte, and so many of my colleagues who negotiated in good faith on H.R. 4760, the Securing America's Future Act of 2018, to try and reach a solution—I was proud to support the product on the floor today. I remain committed to working toward a solution on immigration that addresses the President’s priorities: securing the border, building the wall, stopping sanctuary cities, and making our immigration laws smarter. Congress should keep working until the people’s agenda is completed.

If we truly work, I believe we can get there.”
